Club Membership

Membership of the CSAS is open to anyone aged 18 and above but they MUST be a member of the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC). Membership of the CSSC is open to current and retired civil service and public sector employees.  This includes local government employees, NHS staff, emergency services employees and the military.

If you work for a private company that takes on civil service and/or  public sector work, you may be eligible to join. A list of approved organisations can be found here. If your organisation is not listed, please contact the CSSC customer support team on 01494 888444.

The annual subscription must be paid by the 15th of June of each year.  Renewals are made via the Clubmate website and will be open from 1st April. For those without access to a computer, a cheque payable to the society may be sent to the membership secretary and he will initiate the membership process on Clubmate.

Members who do not renew their subscriptions by the 15th of June will be deemed to have relinquished their membership and must therefore re-apply and  the joining fee will then also apply.

Junior membership (under 18) is free, but juniors, aged 16 and under, may only fish Society venues when accompanied by their parent/guardian, who must be a Society member. Juniors must be registered on their parent/guardian’s Clubmate profile before they can fish Society venues. Juniors must also be in possession of an EA license.
