Our Christmas match was held on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Kintbury. This time of the year, the canal seems to fish better than earlier in the year, and everyone caught. The swims closer to the church bridge were producing the larger fish, with Alan Muller landing a perch of 2Ib 9oz. There were also several around 2Ib caught along the section, mostly on worm. After the match we were booked into The Downgate pub for our Christmas meal, just a few miles from Kintbury. This year’s winner was Pete Harrod, who had a big bag of roach and perch. Pete Harrod won the Reg Dance Trophy, and a bottle of Jack Daniels.
