This was very hard fishing, due to overnight cold rain. The canal was clear, but had a slight flow. Derek Bunce, and Mark Davison picked the early swims. Myself and Alan Muller walked up to the top swims.  It was very slow in the morning, we both on had a couple of fish. Both myself and Alan  were both using trotting tactics. Alan was using a small waggler, and I used a shallow stick. In the afternoon  when the water had warmed up, the fish started to feed.
