Evening All

Today was a good day. Today we put some life back into our beloved River Kennet.

Not only did we pick Del’s birthday to do the 2025 Kennet Hatchery releases it was also the hottest day of the year which meant we couldn’t hang around to take too many pretty pictures. Luckily Laurence Hanger was on hand so watch out for a quality video in due course. Anyway all went well with 40,000 chub and barbel fry released into three locations from Thatcham to Theale, along with best part of 1000 miniature, one year old fish. Next year it will be double that!

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has generously donated to help make this project a reality and give the Kennet a fishing future.

All the best
