Congratulations to Mark Davison, the winner of this season’s match championship

Our last match was held on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Kintbury. It was a nice warm day, maybe a bit too bright for fishing. Since our last match there we have had little rain and the water had become clearer, but it did not  stop the fish feeding.

1st Les Cole 10Ib, fished long pole over to a moored boat. Fished punch bread, mixed bag of roach and skimmers.

Equal 2nd Richard Cowling  8Ib 8oz, fished 9m whip with the top section elasticated. Caught skimmers, and one roach. Fished down the middle, used red worms and casters.

Equal 2nd  Mark Davison 8Ib8oz, Fished long pole, used chop worm and maggots. Caught a mixed bag, had one big perch, but lost another.

4th Alan Muller 2Ib 5oz, Alan fished waggler and bomb rod. Mixed bag.
