Thanks to your support this project has had a great start and we are looking forward to a successful second year as we ramp up production, building on the invaluable lessons we learnt in 2024.

With increasing the prices of electricity and feed our annual running costs are now in excess of £6k, a little higher than anticipated, but the generosity of our individual donors and partner clubs has been magnificent and we remain in a healthy position for now. Thank you to those clubs who’ve already made their annual contributions and we hope that everybody will be able to match last year’s donation amounts if possible. We are also looking to increase the number of individual donors and at RDAA we included an option for our members to add a voluntary contribution to the hatchery when they renewed their annual subscription. This has proved successful and may be something others might like to consider. In any case, there’s a donation form at the end of the report for individuals to use should they feel inclined.

Should any of you wish to visit the hatchery again this year please drop us line and we will organise something when bio-security conditions allow.

Once again thank you for your support and generosity. This really has been a fabulous joint endeavour to give the Kennet a fishing future.
