Kintbury Canal is the best place to go when we have had hard frosts during the week. Today when we started fishing, it was only 4° and I don’t think it went much above 5° all day. One of our members was so cold that he went home early. But those who braved the cold were rewarded with  fish.

1st –   18Ib 10oz  Alan Muller had an excellent day, catching perch to over 2Ib,  and some big roach to 1.5Ib. Alan fished the waggler, feeding maggots.

2nd – 8Ib 6oz Mark Davison had a mixed bag, a couple good perch plus roach.  Mark used the pole.

3rd – 7Ib 4oz  Richard Cowling  1 big perch over 2Ib, plus a mixed bag  mainly roach. Richard used the whip, feeding maggots and pinkies.

4th  – 7Ib 2oz Paul Sanders had a big perch over 2Ib, and the rest was a mixed bug..

5th – 4Ib 6oz Derek Bunce,  A mixed bag of fish all caught on the whip.

Roger Mellon DNW, went home early too cold. 🥶.
