Previous to our match on Saturday,  the Loddon was carrying extra water and was fishing well. This week we didn’t have much rain and the river was dropping,  and the colour  was out. Myself and Trevor drew pegs on the Island, but found it low and the quite clear. This made the fishing hard. Derek Bunce was in the bridge swim, also was finding the fishing hard, but lost a very big perch late on. Mark Davison and Alan Muller were half way along the venue,  in the deeper swims.  They were catching more, and a better quality fish. Richard Coxhead fishing his first match with our group, was further along the venue but was also finding it hard going.
