Conditions were favorable with it being overcast for most of the day, with a cold wind. Still a lot of water in the fields, from the nearby River Kennet bursting its banks. The fish were feeding,  and the better fish seem to be caught in the swims just before  the bridge.  Roger Mellon and Alan Muller were in these swims, and were catching some big perch and bream. Trevor Cottam went above the bridge, but it didn’t fish so well.  Trevor had problems  with  pike, and trout and unfortunately they can’t be weighed in on matches. 

1st Roger Mellon 10Ib 8oz, – perch 2Ib, roach 6oz.
