This years bailiffs and officials match was well attended and very enjoyable. The weather was perfect for the socialising side of the event with a lot of fun and banter and new friends being made. The barbecue was second to none and was demolished in double quick time, thanks Fraser for sorting out the food. After dinner and plenty of beers and ciders the fishing was started as the sun was setting.
Unfortunately the fish were being uncooperative and most of us blanked, but I managed two small chub and a small perch, Dean Whitlock caught some nice half pound roach on corn , Paul Watson had a 7lb Bream, Scott Stacey had four bream and James Stewart also had a bream.
Congratulatuons to Scott for coming first!
This year’s trophy is a tankard engraved in memory of Mark Thomas who loved to fish at Windsor and who tragically passed away recently, making this a bitter-sweet event for many of us.
We truly hope he is fishing happily somewhere.
Thanks again to Fraser for his hospitality and to all those who were able to attend.
