Hambridge work party
Ian Campbell and the team were back on Hambridge today, mowing the paths on both sides of the river upstream from Bulls Lock and also strimmimg the swims on the south bank.
Two new swims were also created above Tumble Bay on the south bank – pics attached. One looks a good trotting swim and the other might be where a lazy old pike is likely to hang about just off the current.
On Thursday Ian will be back doing the same work downstream of the railway, down to the start of Fidlers.
For those with an interest in the barbel we were told by one of the regulars that there have quite a few doubles coming out, averaging 12, and the best heard of at 14.
